On Tuesday, December 10, from 15:00 to 17:00, the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for BOLD Cities is organizing the symposium: “Urban Digital Twins in Practice." The language of the event will be English. We cordially invite you to attend!
During the symposium, the research project TWIRL (digital TWIns as Regimes of visibiLity) will be presented, and we will connect stakeholders and interested parties within the domain of smart, digital cities. The TWIRL project, an interdisciplinary research collaboration, has focused for two years on the existing digital twin of Rotterdam and the developing digital twin of The Hague. The research project has examined both the data and analytics that are currently absent from UDT designs and analyzed how more inclusive practices and representations can be developed.
The afternoon will begin with an introduction led by the Centre, followed by a presentation on the research conducted by the TWIRL team. After the presentation, there will be two panel discussions where TWIRL researchers and related experts will share their insights and reflect on the role of science in these urban innovation processes and policy-making. The symposium will provide space for interaction with the researchers and will conclude with a reception.
